DON'T BELIEVE ANYTHING

"The World Is Flat"

"The World Is Flat"

"Aliens Rule The World"
"You Must Work Hard To Succeed."

For some people, these statements are based on facts.

True statements. Totally valid.

E.g.; there is a whole movement to show the world that the world is flat. Check Google and you find them easily.

So the question really is ....

What is a fact and what is a belief?

And when does a fact change from being a fact into something like a belief?

Well, someone in my circle once said that if there is just 1% of people who don't agree with your "fact", this fact turns into a belief.

Interesting, right?

Beliefs and what makes a belief is a fascinating topic.

We all are "ruled" by our beliefs. They help us navigate the world.

We evaluate our actions and the actions of others, based on our beliefs.

Many people believe that it is hard to change a belief. I, as a Certified NLP Trainer, believe that it is easy.

A useful way to think of is to "put your beliefs" on trial. Challenge your statements, and your thoughts and evaluate them, if they are supportive, or if they hold you back.

Last week, I asked a few people if I should create videos about beliefs and only a few said, interestingly, that they don't need it.

I still did it because I BELIEVE that there is a lot of misconceptions around beliefs and belief-change.

So bear with me, watch the video, and enjoy the learning. (and subscribe to my channel... I would be so happy!)
