IT ALWAYS SEEMS FURTHER

The wall was in front of me. It was getting closer but my muscles were so tired. My mind screamed..... it is okay, let it go. Why struggle?

But I kept moving.

One stroke ..... after the next.... after the next......

I kept swimming and swimming.

I looked at the wall which marked the end of the pool.

I knew I needed to entertain my mind and distract it, otherwise, I would stop swimming and give up.

And so I did - here is what I did.

In my mind, I moved the wall closer to me.

Instead of 6 meters, I just imagined it to be just about 3 meters.

And when I reached the 3-meter mark, I moved it even closer.

I kept my mind busy with games that I decided to play!

So my mind would not be able to play its tricks on me.

!!!I took charge!!!

That's the magic.

And along the way ..... I forgot the tiredness in my muscles.

βœ… So here’s your tip. βœ…

πŸ‘‰ Whenever your mind wants you to believe that something gets hard, just focus your mind on something else for the moment.

πŸ‘‰ Don’t entertain thoughts telling you that you cannot make it!

πŸ‘‰ And because you will focus your mind on something else, you prevent your mind from continuously focusing on building up what it perceives to be an obstacle.

πŸ‘‰ And before you realise it, you might just have reached your goal already.
