My sifu and I were chitchatting about life. I was in Las Vegas and he said something that changed my life.
SLEEPING HOWEVER LONG I WANT
My sifu and I sat around the table, chitchatting about life.
It was 2014, and I was in Las Vegas and on the edge of completing my 1-year apprenticeship to become a Master Trainer of Hypnosis.
And suddenly, he said something to me that stuck with me.
He shared with me that he and his wife wake up in the morning from the sun tickling their noses. This was followed by exercises and work-outs, but that is not my point here.
Sleeping however long I want? No matter what?
Isn't this the essence that someone does not have to worry about life anymore?
The need to rush to work in the morning.
Getting started on the daily tasks? Heck, the hassle of meeting deadlines.
The feeling of being stuck wherever you are, and the inner conflict of wanting to do something else, but you can't.
Could this mean that you now have the ability to design your life the way you want it?
And that this involves the pleasure of waking up, whenever you choose to.
So to me, that happened sometimes back.
Somewhere just before Covid happened to change lives all around us.
And yes, I can now wake up, whenever I want, or stay up, however long I choose.
Listen, don't get me wrong.
I am very task-oriented and get tons of stuff done.
But the ability to get up when I choose to gives me something, that is hardly comparable.
Do you want to know what it is?
Inner Peace.
It simply feels good.
What time do you usually wake up in the morning? Are you happy about it?
