THE ART OF "I CAN'T DECIDE" - DECIDING NOT TO DECIDE!
Ever heard someone say, "I can't decide"?

Well, guess what?

I hear it many times in my NLP Training, or from my coaching clients.

When we come to the crossroad of MAJOR decisions.

However, I like to hold up that statement to the person like a mirror.

Because NOT deciding is a decision in itself!

But it is not about forcing a person to decide.

You need to understand that life is full of choices.

And sometimes, deciding not to decide is a choice too.

It's like standing at an ice cream parlour with endless flavours, and you say, "I can't decide" – but deep down, you've decided to savour the delicious agony of choice!

In my world of coaching or NLP Training, clients often face crossroads, from career moves to project strategies.

They know that if they decide now, something major is going to happen. It can be scary, and I understand that.

In these moments, the coach needs to realise as well that their clients are just not ready YET.

I always believe, however, that something, deep inside of them, is GETTING ready, just not yet, lah!

So I tell them to embrace the "I can't decide" moments, because they're opportunities to explore, gather more info, and maybe stumble upon the perfect solution!

Remember, even the great minds had their moments of indecision.

I asked them to wear that indecision like a badge of honour because you're on the path to a well-informed, thoughtful decision.

We celebrate the art of deciding not to decide - sometimes with heartfelt laughter.

But before they leave, or even during the session, they still, have to come to the following point in their decision-making journey.

I remind them that while deciding not to decide can be a strategic move, “remember that time doesn't stand still.

Those unmade decisions may linger.

So, when you find yourself in the "I can't decide" zone, consider setting a reminder.”

And I ask them to keep me informed and come to some structure before our next session.

It is a relief. For them.

Now I am curious….. how do you handle YOUR moments of indecision?
