YOU ARE READING THE EYES. YOU ARE MISSING THE MIND

Most NLP practitioners jump straight to eye accessing cues or think that's all what NLP is. But there is so much more to understanding people.

YOU ARE READING THE EYES. YOU ARE MISSING THE MIND
Most NLP practitioners jump straight to eye accessing cues.

Some even think NLP is eye accessing cues.

They want to know if someone is visual, auditory, kinaesthetic as if that one distinction explains how a person processes the world.

Useful, yes.

But nowhere near the whole picture.

👉 Before someone represents anything, they filter it.

And that’s where the Language and Behaviour Profile “Words That Change Minds®” sits.

It is not a nice extra, but the system that decides what their mind even lets through the door.

Miss these filters and you’re decoding strategies while ignoring the operating system underneath.

It’s like staring at your phone’s icons and forgetting the software that runs them.

Here’s the issue I see over and over:

→ Practitioners listen to what people say.

They decode predicates.

They track eye movements.

→ LAB Profile forces you to listen to how they say it.

👉 Not the story but the patterns:

- Do they move towards what they want or away from what they fear?

– Do they want options or step-by-step instructions?

– Do they stick with things or change quickly?

– Do they decide for themselves or look for outside confirmation?

– Do they look for what’s the same or what’s different?

– Do they act early or only when something pushes them?

These patterns drive behaviour long before representation systems show up.

👉 You can teach someone to visualise success…

…but if they operate with an Away-From filter, they’ll picture what they want to avoid.

👉 You can install a resource anchor…
…but if their pattern is Procedural and you only speak in Options, the anchor becomes irrelevant.

👉 You can refine your Meta Model questions…
…but if they reference externally, they won’t trust their own answers.

This is why techniques “work in class” but fall apart in real conversations.

You’re treating the symptom, not the pattern.

LAB Profile shifts that.

It tells you:
– how to speak so someone actually hears you
– how to motivate without pressure
– how to frame choices naturally
– how to lower resistance without fighting it
– how to change behaviour at the level it emerges from

Once you track patterns, everything gets easier:

âś… Coaching becomes cleaner.

âś… Selling becomes faster.

âś… Influence becomes respectful.

âś… Conversations become precise.

âś… Change accelerates.

People feel understood in a way they rarely experience.

Eye accessing cues give you the channel.

LAB Profile gives you the code.

Know both and your work becomes sharper, more accurate, more impactful.

If you’re a practitioner, coach, leader or trainer and you want to work at the level where behaviour actually begins, message me.

This is the work I live and breathe. The shifts are immediate.
